charming stay but needs attention
The property has a delightful ambiance, with beautiful wrought iron balconies enhancing its charm. The privacy of the rooms in the rear provided a peaceful retreat from the bustling environment outside.
The lack of readily available parking options can be a hassle.

This place has such a fun vibe! We eagerly explored the vibrant streets of the French Quarter and caught a fantastic live show at the Saenger Theatre, just a short walk away. The antique decor and beautiful courtyard made it feel like a true New Orleans getaway. We loved our stay with our parents.
My kids wished for an easier luggage drop-off area outside to avoid those steep stairs.

I absolutely loved the charming courtyard at Lamothe House. Swings nestled among lush greenery create a cozy escape perfect for a mid-afternoon break. The historic details of the building added so much character to my stay. The staff was friendly and always ready to help with recommendations for local eats and attractions. However, the bathroom setup left a lot to be desired. It felt cramped without enough space for toiletries. The shower pressure was decent, but the fixtures seemed outdated. I also noticed some dust in the entryway, which could use a thorough cleaning.

The food scene is livin' large in this area! Hit up R Bar for a real local vibe and munch on some killer dishes at The Praline Connection. It’s not just a stay. it’s an adventure. Plus, the charming courtyard is a lush escape—swing your worries away among the greenery!
Now, I love a historic hotel, but this one could use some TLC. The bathroom felt like a time warp with no space for toiletries, although the shower pressure was on point. I'd say those bones need a good redo to shine.

Staff shines bright
We had a decent stay. The ladies at the front desk were super welcoming and made us feel right at home. The courtyard with its pool is lovely! However, the guy working in the afternoon was really unhelpful and took forever to get us extra towels. The room had some issues, too. Overall, it has potential but needs work.
